Welcome to Anorexia and Bulimia Care
ABC is a national (within the UK) Christian charity working to support all those who suffer because of eating disorders and their associated problems.
Whether you are a sufferer yourself, or are trying to support someone else, we aim to provide help, advice and assistance to help you.
Mission Statement
Anorexia and Bulimia Care believes that there is an answer to anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, compulsive eating and all kinds of eating distress.
We offer a professional service, from a Christian perspective, which provides encouragement, advice and support for all involved to help make full recovery possible.
How to join ABC
If you would like to receive regular information and support from ABC, as well as having access to some member-only benefits such as our lending library and reduced rates for conferences and residential courses, why not become a member?
All members receive Lifeline, our quarterly magazine packed with great articles for sufferers, carers and leaders. Membership lasts for one year and is free, although we will ask those who are able to make a donation to cover some of our costs.
Becoming a member is also a way YOU can support US - because you can contribute towards our running costs and help us to help the many hundreds of people who contact us every year.
If you would like to become a member, please contact us, giving your name and mailing address. We will then send you more information about membership in a plain, unmarked envelope.
Thought for the Week
Would you like to receive an email every week, to encourage you as you work towards recovery, wherever you are on your journey?
If so, please click here and send a blank email. You'll receive an email back asking you to confirm your email address - just follow the instructions and you'll be added to the list.

Have YOU recovered from an eating disorder?
ABC runs a befriending scheme, where recovered sufferers are linked with current sufferers to provide a supportive friendship which can help them to move towards recovery.
This is a very popular scheme, and we are always short of people who are able to be befrienders.
If you have recovered from a sufferer, could this be something you could do? It is a great way to help someone else who is still in the middle of their own eating disorder.
For more information about the scheme, contact us.
(Please note - all our befrienders must be happy to sign and endorse our statement of faith)
